Alfredo being my mechanic for 5 years.. he always profesional and will not overcharge you..he is the best mechanic in town..
Very bad experience. I will not be returning. I see there are good post and negative ones as well. So I am not the only person that feels that way. I only hope mine stays for there are business owners that do not do well with criticism. The 5 star rating is more important. Which reflects the type of business this is. Also shows truth behind how they truly feel about the 'community'. As long as this is seen by the person that truly needs to see it. I am satisfied. Went in for a fix regarding suspension. When I complaint of the outcome of the job. I was told I was wrong. Went to another shop problem resolved. The service and customer service here is not good at all. I am a Out of town person that really needed the help.
I was having problems with a 2002 Mercury Cougar. It had two glaring lights on the dashboard - a check engine light and a wrench light. After spending $300+ at 2 other repair companies, in another state, the lights were still on. I took it to Alfredo's and the car appeared to be fixed until I drove it for 25 miles and the check engine light came back on. I returned the next day and they researched the problem (electrical) for a day and a half. When I picked it up the check engine light was off and it has stayed off. Alfredo's mechanics care about earning a satisfied customer and every transaction has been handled with an invoice and a credit card except for a loose valve on a tire which they wouldn't charge me for, so I tipped the mechanic a few dollars for his help. The Cougar passed a NJ Inspection and has been driven for several hundred miles with no lights returning thank you Alfredo's!!!
I have given Alfredo a five star rating before. As a mechanic he is excellent. He fixed my exhaust system for $150 while the big chain mechanics were quoting me $700. And I will continue to bring my car to him for general mechanic work. He does excellent work. Great prices and honest however if you need electrical work done. Do not use his mechanic who is not an employee of his but an independent contractor. My car was not starting. I was told that it was electrical draining the battery but not the battery itself. This mechanic, not Alfredo, charged me $600. The problem was not fixed then my battery was replaced and it's still not fixed. It's the ignition that's not connecting to the engine. Over $700 for an undiagnosed problem. Alfredo, I will still continue coming to you because you do good work but I would think twice of the mechanic who you refer to fix what may be an electrical problem. You do good work but he ripped me off while he said it was fully guaranteed. Sorry Alfredo. But he doesn't represent you. My car is now at another mechanics and I would prefer to bring it to you. But after all this money spent that did not resolve the problem, I cannot.
I feel very satisfied with the job done on my car and the prices are very good. Highly recommended to anyone!
